Traumatic Facial Paralysis
Traumatic facial paralysis occurs when the facial nerve is injured due to trauma to the head and/or face.
Outcomes for Traumatic Facial Paralysis
Improvement of facial nerve function after trauma depends on the extent of injury. Many incidents of facial paralysis following trauma improve if the facial nerve is properly repaired. Facial nerve rehabilitation is also helpful in improving the function of the nerve.
