Treatment for Otitis Externa
Treatment involves the use of antibiotic eardrops and keeping the ear dry. When the ear canal closes off, a wick is inserted into the ear canal and left in place for a week or two. As more antibiotic eardrops are used, the wick swells and the ear canal opens.
